He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Scala and Lucille Scala; his wife Susan; his brothers, Chuck and Fred; his daughter Julie; and also Chris.

In lieu of flowers, he would wish that any contributions be donated to the Fiske Free Library.
