He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Helie (Rossi) and Joseph Helie; his brothers, John and James Helie; and his grandson Davis Hemingway.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Helie (Stevens); his children, Joe Helie (Kassy) of Newport, NH and Lisa Atieh (Jehad); his sister Sue Ellen Helie (Dana) of Gloucester, MA.; his great grandchildren, Mason, Jad, Amere and Jayson; his siblings-in-law, Wayne Stevens, James Stevens and Judith Bourque; and his niece Tammy Therrien.
