He was predeceased by: his mother Sandra Lanou; his sister Michelle Leitgeb; and his grandparents, Henry, Flora Lanou, Robert and Phyllis Leitgeb.
He is survived by: his father James "Jim" P. Lanou; his stepmother Sherry Fleury Lanou; his siblings, Steven Lanou (Heather), Jamie Lanou (Bethany) and Jaclyn Lanou; and his children, Jonathan Lanou, JoLynn Lanou and Autumn Lanou.
