He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Young and Patricia Coffin; his wife Shirley Young (Gagnon); his brothers, Roger, Stanley and Walter; and his stepdaughters, Sonia Byers and Laurie Griffith.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Young of Newport, NH and Gary Young Jr. of Friendsville, Maryland; his siblings, Robert Young of Charlestown, NH, Marie Fournier of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Bernadette Parent of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; and his stepdaughters, Donna Malia of Palm Bay, Brenda Postovit of Palm Bay and Sharon Wareing of Micco, Florida. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
