He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Getchell and Tina Getchell (Finnemore); his former wife Amy Elizabeth Paterson (Betty) of Portsmouth, NH; his wife Charlotte; and his brothers, Perry and Garth.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary (Mariko Yamasaki) and Paul (Anne); his grandchildren, Joshua Getchell (Monica), Katherine Getchell Angis (Neil), Christopher Getchell (Jamie) and Samuel Getchell; his great grandchildren, Madeline, Annabelle, Clara, Ryan and Finley; and his stepdaughter Rachel Gertloff.
