He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor G. Hewes and Ona E. Hewes (Jillson). He is survived by: his children, Brenda Hewes Bonnie Handt, Wayne Hewes and Jason Hewes; and his siblings, Gordon Hewes, Cheryl Mills, Gene Hewes, Ona Chase and Vicki LeCain. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
