He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard I. Battis and Patricia E. Battis (McCormick); and his brother Richard S. Battis. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Battis; his children, Stacey Battis and Matthew Battis; and his siblings, Bruce Battis (Mary), Larry Battis (Lynn), Carol Salwey, Bette Worden (Wayne) and John Battis (Vivian). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
