He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Zilen and Mabel Van Zilen Jr. (Mitchell); and his brothers, Gary Van Zilen Sr. and Dennis Van Zilen Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Judith Van Zilen of Brookline, NH; his son David (Colleen); his grandchildren, Ellen Major, Robert Van Zilen (Lindsay Davis) and Emily Redwood (Sean); and his great grandchildren, Mitchell, Logan and Ella Redwood. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
