He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hart and Ruth Hart. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Matthew (Rachel) and Carolyn Winters (Brian); and his brothers, Douglas (Rae), William and Henry (Mary). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
