He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rice and Eunice Rice (Robinson); and his siblings, Robert, Alden, Jack, George, Ruby, Ellen Flanders, Ruth Rolph and Janet Hutchinson.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Brown); his daughter Lynn (Rice); and his grandchildren, Ian Rice (Bristol) and Meghan Rice. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Medallion Fund, a scholarship fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation that benefits students in traditional trades, such as electrical, plumbing, machining or other high need occupations.
