He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Colby and Alma Colby (Owen); his son John William Colby; and his half-siblings, Warren Drew (Hazel), John Drew (Natalie) and Jane Drew Stevens (Harold).

He is survived by: his wife Janet "Snookie" Beecher; his son Gregory Colby (Eleana); his grandchildren, Ryan, Lauryn and Derek; his stepgrandsons, Carter and Madden Walsh; his sister Carol Sue Anderson (Jim); and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Collins and Gini Beecher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; plus 5 granddogs.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pete's memory may be made to The McDonough Scholarship Foundation, 61 North Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
