She was predeceased by: her sister Phyllis Meek of Rhode Island; and her parents, Herbert Hathaway and May Elliot. She is survived by: her husband William H. Reid; and her children, Linda Shepard, Cheryl Cates, Donald Reid, Charles Reid and Mark Reid. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
