He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Anctil and Doris Anctil (Baillargeon); his wife Gabrielle "Gay" Anctil (Dupont); and his stepfather Gedeon Vallee. He is survived by: his close friend Jeannine Birch; his sons, Michael (Anna), Foris "Tree" (Colleen) and Chris (Marisa); his grandchildren, Lizzy, Evan, Corinne, Reid, Jocelyn, Cody and Alex; and his sister Judy Rheaume (Normand).
