He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaie Roy and Marie-Jeanne Roy (Frechette); his son-in-law Vincent Ruel; his siblings, Midas, Laurier, Noel, Rita Turco (John) and Therese Roy (Roland); and his parents-in-law, Elzear, Marie-Anna Guilmette, Roland, Albert (Cecile), Paul (Rose), Robert (Yvette), Ernest Guilmette (Shirley), Blanche Cushman (Wellington), Maurice Jutras, Margaret Sherman (Al), Therese Vezina and George Comeau.

He is survived by: his children, Elaine Ruel of Berlin, Pierre Roy (Joanne) of Berlin, Rachelle Lyons (John) of Saco and Claudette Buckley (Andy) of Vernon, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Joseph Ruel (Amy), Timothy Ruel (Heather), Daniel Roy (Kristen), Luke Roy (Amber), Benjamin Lyons (Rachel), Samuel Lyons, Griffin Buckley (Melissa), Sabrina Pettersson (Brenton) and Sierra Grooms (Gavin); his great grandchildren, Olivia Ruel, Lionel, Dawson Roy, Wesley, Maggie Pettersson, Cooper and Madelyn Buckley; his siblings, Muriel Comeau of Gorham, Violette Grondin (Norman) of Berlin, Maurice Roy (Caroline) of Cuttingsville and Edmond Roy (Jeanine) of Gorham; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Roy of Berlin, Jacqueline Morin of Berlin, Florence Jutras of Enfield, Connecticut, Lucien Guilmette (Louise) of Concord, NH and Leo Vezina of Ellington, Connecticut. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
