He is survived by: his wife Gail McCown (Laplante-Sawyer); his brother Gordon McCown Jr. (Cindy); his children, Sean McCown (Julie), Holly O'Gara (Emmet) and Ken Sawyer (Kim); and his grandchildren, Molly, Brennan, Kiley and Emma.
