He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Murphy and Margaret Murphy (Costello); and his siblings, Lorraine Nee and John T. Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Michelle M. Kafejelis (Nick) of Bedford and Michael P. Murphy of Sarasota, FL; his grandchildren, Meghan Murphy, Erin Murphy, Nicholas Kafejelis, Michael Murphy and Matthew Kafejelis; his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Hogan and Kathleen Kwiatanowski; and also Linda L. Murphy (Hatch) of Bedford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
