He is survived by: his wife Anne (Ross) of Bedford, NH; his children, Joe Carreiro Jr. (Diane) of Salem, NH, Cheryl Bernardo of Boxborough, MA and Sarah Reason (Matt) of Charlestown, MA; his grandchildren, Dylan, Mollie, Lucas, Lily, Isabel, Lilah and Nash; and his sister Lucy Wilkerson (David). He is also survived by sisters and brothers in laws, nieces and nephews.
