He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rooney and Genevieve Rooney (McCarthy); his wife Janice Rooney (Mahoney); his brothers-in-law, Richard Orzechowski and Larry Mahoney; and his son-in-law Keith Landry.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tara Landry of Hooksett and Krista McCarthy (Patrick) of Manchester; his grandchildren, Ian Landry and Nora Landry of Hooksett; his sisters-in-law, June Orzechowski of Hooksett and Toni Ann Mahoney of Fort Payne, AL; and his nieces and nephews, Brent, Richard, Ryan Orzechowski, Lonnie Mahoney, Kathleen Mahoney and Christine Kastovich.
