He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Harding and Walter M. Harding; his stepchildren, Robert Ruel and Deborah Ruel; and also Ruth Harding.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his stepson David Ruel; his grandchildren, Christopher Ruel, Izaak Ruel, Angela Girard (Ruel), Deborah Finizia (Ruel), Rachel Simon (Ruel), Meredith Dourian (Ruel) and Benjamin Ruel; his sister Betty Anderson; and his nephew James Anderson. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
