He was predeceased by: his son Paul T. Fernandes; his parents, Nilo Fernandes and Telma Reis Fernandes; and his brother Milton Fernandes. He is survived by: his children, Paula McCarthy of Atkinson, NH, Jean Paul Fernandes (Sophie Sousa) of Dracut, MA and Matthew Fernandes (Lindsay L'Heureux) of Dracut, MA; his grandchildren, Ruby McCarthy, Lily McCarthy, Dominic Fernandes, Elena Fernandes and Mateo Paulino Fernandes (Patricia Fernandes); his former wife Lisa Fernandes; and his sisters, Nilma Fernandes, Teresa Fernandes Guarany, Miriam Fernandes and Maria Elizabeth Fernandes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
