He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Grotenhuis (Spike) and Ida Grotenhuis (Enstad); and his sister Ila Buss (Grotenhuis). He is survived by: his wife Gwen Grotenhuis (Chafee); his son Neal Grotenhuis; his daughter-in-law Verlie Grotenhuis (Poulsen); his daughters, Sue Sullivan and Pam Gallant; his son-in-law Mike Gallant; his son Dirk Grotenhuis; his daughter-in-law Pamela Grotenhuis (Howard); his brothers, Paul Grotenhuis and Steve Grotenhuis; his grandchildren, Ian Grotenhuis (Heidi), Brett Grotenhuis (Sarah), Daniel Gallant (Katie Lantz), Brendan Sullivan, Leah Beck (Grotenhuis), Kristen Gallant, Katie Sullivan, Renée Sullivan, Thor Grotenhuis and Lars Grotenhuis; his great grandchildren, Eva Grotenhuis and Claire Grotenhuis; and also, Sue, Pam, Dirk, Ivan and Gwen.
