He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Walton and Sarah Walton (Pate); and his siblings, Lundy Walton, Margaret Vickroy, Clarence "Toots" Walton and Richard Walton.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Walton (Nottingham); his children, Lissa Merrill of Dover, William E. Walton (Amy) and Sarah Benson (Scott) of New Castle; his grandchildren, Jeff Merrill (Rachel), Leigh Perret (Lindsay), Liam Walton and Kieran Walton; and his great grandchildren, Charlie, Alex Seby and Ace.
