He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor LaForest and Lillian LaForest; and his siblings, Conrad, Raymond, Lenny, Priscella and Yvone Levesque.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra LaForest; his daughter Tammy LaForest; his grandsons, Eric J. Wedick and Paul J. Wedick; his sister Monique LaForest; and his sister-in-law Carol of Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
