Brinkema and Jean Brinkema (Borglum); his wife Julie; his son Corey Brinkema; his daughter-in-law Maree Hampton of Minneapolis, MN; his daughters, Kristin Brinkema (Lisa Stevens) and Jean Brinkema of Playa Vista, CA; his grandchildren, Torsten, Lars, Bode, Berit and Maxwell; his brother John; his sister-in-law Leone Brinkema of Virginia; his sisters, Anne Ganley of Colorado Springs, CO and Susan; and his brother-in-law Gregory Hewitt of Lakeside, CA.
