He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell W. Emerson, Sr. and May-Ella Emerson; and his siblings, Frank Emerson, Erma R. Morrison and Lyllis Jeanson.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. "Betty" Emerson (Brewster) of Alton; his children, Linda Lord of Concord, NH, Allen Emerson of Manchester, NH, Scott E. "Melon" Emerson (Debbie Richards) of Alton and David B. Emerson (Susanne) of Alton, NH; and his sister-in-law Mary Emerson of Colorado. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
