He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon; and his parents, Frank William Howard and Alice Sophia Howard (Spongberg) of Pine St. He is survived by: his children, Rick Howard (Wendy) of Glastonbury, CT and Karin Howard of Cape Town, RSA; his grandchildren, Steven Howard (Molly) of Glastonbury, CT, Nathan Howard of Glastonbury, CT and Jill Howard of Portland, ME; and his sister Carol Low (David) of Hollis, ME.
