He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George J. Murphy and Mary H. Murphy (Griffin); his wife Diana Lee Murphy (Lambert); his children, Lauren Ann Torres Pagan (Rolando), George W. Murphy, Jr. (Joyce), Pamela J. McGonagle (Bob Borjeson), Sean R. Murphy, Thomas E. Montgomery and John C. Miller (Tara); and his sister Marie. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
