She was predeceased by: her parents, Nick Schaefer and Nellie Schaefer (Klassen); and her husband Francis Van Ackeren. She is survived by: her children, Peg Soukup (Roger) of Westfield, IN, Larry Van Ackeren (Deb) of Yutan, NE, Patricia Bogus (Bill) of Columbus, NE and Julie Maercklein (Mark) of Minot, ND. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
