He was predeceased by: his parents, Joy Barr and Elora Barr (Gelvin); his in-law Peter Kopke (Lavina); his daughter Joy Marie Sherman; and his siblings, Glen, Nina Schindler, Adeana Todd and Joyce Gydesen.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Kopke of York; his son Tim Barr (Lori) of York; his son-in-law Karl Sherman; his grandchildren, Steven Sherman (Kristen), Jason Sherman (Beth), Brian Barr and Michelle Franssen (Brock); and his great grandchildren, Aria, Thea, Lara Franssen, Presley, Brooklyn Sherman and Steven Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research, First Presbyterian Church or to the family for later designation.
