In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Richard leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry G. Shockey and Irene E. Shockey (Watson); and his wife Doris E. Godtel. He is survived by: his sister Linda Emmons (Roger) of Belton, MO; and his children, Tammy Shaw of York, NE and Brian Shockey (Kim) of Holmen, WI. He is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Clay Center Christian Church (31371 Woodland Rd, Clay Center, NE 68933).
