It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlin Warnken of York, Nebraska, born in Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on April 20, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Warnken and Della Warnken (Kiene); his son Randy; and his brother Duane. He is survived by: his wife Deanna Wusk of York; his daughter Shari Wilkins (Steve) of Homosassa, FL; his grandchildren, Matthew Wilkens of Texas, Christopher Wilkins of Texas and Lindsay Wheeler of Texas; his great grandchildren, Mattylin, Emmylin and Lilly; his sister Phyllis Koontz (Howard) of Colorado; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Warnken of Wilbur, NE and Christy Voboril (Don) of Adams, NE. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
Memorials may be directed to First Evangelical Lutheran Church or to Greenwood Cemetery.
