He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucious Batterton and Anna Batterton (Shellingburg); his wife Marilyn Sadler; and his brothers, Don Batterton and Les Batterton.
He is survived by: his children, Michael W. Batterton (Lori Eichelberger) of York, Charles W. Batterton (Paula Underwood) of Norfolk, NE and LeeAnn Klemsz (Lonnie) of York; and his siblings, Glenda Parma of New Port News, VA, Kathy Howell (Raymond) of Attica, KS and Lonnie Garvin (Leslie) of Fort Smith, AR.. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
