Joyce Hackler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Hackler of York, Nebraska, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Richter and Lola Richter (Walford); her husband Richard Hackler; her stepson Andy Hackler; her siblings, Bob Richter (Irene), Don Richter, Art Richter and Phyllis Richter; her sister-in-law Janet Richter; and her niece Elaine Richter Scott.

She is survived by: her brother Fred Richter of Shelby, NE; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Richter of Gresham and Lois Richter of Lincoln, NE; her stepchildren, Richard Hackler (Kathy) and Candace Petersen; and her nieces and nephews, Christy Ann Richter, Richard Richter, Greg Richter, Annette Gloystein (Bob) of Exeter, Terry Richter (Lori) of Gresham, Barb Nienhueser (Doug) of York, Judi Luettel (Tom) of Gresham and Leslie Hiemer of Chapman.

Memorials may be directed to Gresham Sons of the Legion or to York Adopt-A-Pet.

“In loving memory of Joyce Hackler, I was sorry to hear of Joyce's passing. She was a wonderful woman who always had a big smile and a warm hug. I spent many wonderful days with her, Dick and my in-laws Fay and Shirley Marsh in CO. She loved her Schultzy, Max and McDuff almost as much as her sweet husband Dick and now they are all together again. Blessings to all her family and sweet memories of a dear woman who will be so very missed.”
