It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Dahlgren of York, Nebraska, born in Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Nielsen and Vivi Nielsen (Emanuelson); her former spouse Glen Pfenning; her husband Harry Dahlgren; her siblings, Helen Rice and Ned Nielsen; and her stepson Thomas Dahlgren (Hollis Miller).

She is survived by: her friend Hollis Miller; her children, Glen C. "Chuck" Pfenning Jr. (Rita) of Lincoln, NE and Jo Ellen (Gary Warren) of Aurora, NE.; her grandchildren, Jamie (Tracy Warren) of Lincoln, NE, Dave (Jackie Warren) of Omaha, NE, Matt (Emily Warren) of Council Bluffs, IA. and Angie (Ben Duval) of Lincoln; her stepson Richard (Barbara Dahlgren); and her stepdaughter-in-law Judy Dahlgren of Lincoln. She is also survived by 4 step Grandchildren, and 1 niece and 3 nephews.
