It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Del E. Hornbacher of York, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 87, on June 7, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ephraim Hornbacher and Irma Hornbacher (Goemmel); his brother Tom; and his great grandchild Jaxson Hornbacher. He is survived by : his wife Jan of York; his children, Beverly Blum (Larry) of McCool Junction, NE, Karen Suhr (Randy) of McCool Junction, Bruce Hornbacher (Kelly) of York and Todd Hornbacher (Tina) of McCool Junction; and his sisters, Velda Sedersten (Don) of Lincoln, NE, Wanda LaPage of Lincoln and Sue Rath (Steve) of St. Edward, OK. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (309 E 7th St, York, NE 68467). The military honors was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sutton Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
