He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Dowty and Alberta Dowty (Strickland); his wife Kathy Dimmitt; his brother Ed; his sister-in-law Cheryl Dowty; his nephew Lil Ed Dowty; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Glendora Dimmitt; and his brother-in-law Mike Dimmitt.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Zimmerman (Trevis) of Carson, IA and Bill Dowty (Gina) of York; his grandchildren, Tucker Zimmerman, Rylee Zimmerman of Carson, IA, Darian Czarnick of York, Cole Dowty (Destiny) of York, Tyson Nitzel of York and MaKenna Dowty of York; his great grandchild Ezra Dowty; his brother-in-law Roger Dimmitt (Mona) of Grand Island, NE; and his pets, Cooper and Daisy. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
