He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Peterson and Anna Peterson (Bidstrip); his sister Carla; his brother-in-law Bernard Due; his brother Emil; his sister-in-law Irene Peterson; and his brothers, Dale Peterson and Jewel Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Stahr of York; and his children, Sharon Sykes (Jerry) of Ceresco, NE, Max Peterson (Vicky) of Waco, Tony Peterson (Cathy) of Utica, NE and Stacy Knickerbocker (Darcy) of Utica.
