It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Toms (York, Nebraska), born in Columbus, Nebraska, who passed away on September 29, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Vavrina and Mildred Vavrina (Uridil); her spouse Paul Toms; her daughter Tammy; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Bovey and Art Toms.
She is survived by: her daughter Sue; her grandchildren, Michael Heinz (Kim) of York, Celeste Heinz of Ashland, NE and Nathan Heinz of Lincoln; her brother Dick Vavrina (Sonnie) of Edmond, OK; and her siblings-in-law, Tommy Toms (Adaire) of York, Jane Bovey of Kearney, NE and Linda Toms of York. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
