He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon T. Reed and Mildred Reed (Reed); his son Jay M. Reed; his siblings, Warren Reed, Gene Reed, Audrey Sweeney and Gay Anne Siebler; and his great grandchild Rory Vaught.
He is survived by: his spouse Marlyce Widga; his daughter Tracey Sieck (Steven) of York; his grandsons, Dustin Vaught (Ashely) of Cameron, MO, Adrian Vaught (Andy) of York and Heath Vaught (Hannah Ingold) of York; his great grandchild Alayna; and his close friend Kason. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be directed to Nebraska Children's Home, the American Cancer Society or to the church.
