He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard "George" R Duerksen and Anna Duerksen (Friesen); his wife Linda Mae Naber; his siblings, Leo and Deloris Goertzen-Rempel; and his siblings-in-law, Glenn Goertzen, Elaine Duerksen and Donna Naber.

He is survived by: his children, Allen Duerksen (Cindy) of Central City, NE, Bette Spath (Clint) of Kearney, NE. and Keith Duerksen of Kearney, NE.; his grandchildren, Brandt Spath of Kearney, Braden Spath of Kearney, Callyn Duerksen, Adelyn Duerksen of Central City, Alyssa Young of Phoenix, AZ and Rylie Young of Lincoln, NE.; his brother Willis Duerksen (Barb) of Lincoln; and his brother-in-law Reuben Naber of Waco, NE..
