She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Wake and Gladys L. Wake (Chambers); her husband Calvin Novotny; her daughter-in-law Sue Novotny; her siblings, Vera Toedter, Elmer "Bud" Wake, Elizabeth Cooper (Betty) and Gladys Joan Chapman; and her parents-in-law, George and Lydia Novotny.

She is survived by: her sons, Don Novotny (Ronelda) of Fairbury and Joe Novotny (Vickie) of Johnson; her grandchildren, Troy Novotny of Fairbury, Krista Makovicka (Mark) of Dwight, Jon Novotny (Rhonda) of Fairbury and Jerrod Novotny (Tracie) of Diller; and her great grandchildren, Falisatey, Samantha, Faith, Tanner, Austin, Andrew Novotny, Alex and Nolan Makovicka. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
