She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray Barnard and Mary Barnard (Epp); her former husband Theodore "Ted" Janzen; her husband Robert Franz; her children-in-law, Leon Detwiler and Chris Janzen; her grandchildren, Brenda Janzen and Corey Janzen; her siblings, Anna Louise Jantzen (Harold) and Howard Barnard (Elsie); and her sister-in-law Margaret Gingerich.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Marie Detwiler of Telford, Ron Janzen (Linda Schuller) of Wymore, LeRoy Janzen (Doreen) of Beatrice, Virgil Janzen of Holmesville, Leslie Janzen of Lexington and Maria DeBloc of Beatrice; her stepchildren, Lindy Bixler (Bob) of Lincoln, Jerry Franz (Tina) of Topeka and Jim Franz (Monica) of Lawrence, Kansas; and her daughters-in-law, Sharon Janzen of Lakewood and Tammie Janzen of Beatrice. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 8 step grandchildren; many great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the First Mennonite Church in care of the mortuary.
