He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bartels and Elsie Bartels; his siblings, LaVerne Bartels, Viola Kannarr, Minnie Purtek, Arthur Bartels, Richard Bartels and Juanita Bartels; and his daughter Lenna Kay Bartels.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bartels; his children, Kirsten Smith (Rob) of Denton, Jeff Bartels (Gina) of Marysville and Karla Bartels (Neal Mittan) of Wymore; his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Dylan Smith, Samantha Bartels (Ayden) and Christopher Bartels; his sister Dorothy Erdmann; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Corbett and Joann Bogus (Ron).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family's choice for future designation with the funeral home in charge.
