She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew W. West and Alta West; her husband Alvin; her great grandchild Justin; and her brothers-in-law, Earl, Tom, Harry and Ted Gerdes (Mildred).
She is survived by: her son Gerald Gerdes (Bernice) of Wymore; her grandchildren, Aaron Gerdes (Dottie), Gerald G. Gerdes (Kelly), Ron Bartels, Warren Bartels, Clinton Bartels, Matthew Bartels (Judy) and JanaLynn Bartels; and her sister-in-law Irma Gerdes. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
