He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benjamin and Fay Leota Redding (Killip); his son David Allen Redding; his grandson Cody George Redding; his siblings, Everet, Art, John, Kenny, Gene, Violet, Dorothy, Ethel, Alice, Thelma, Betty and Barb; and his sisters-in-law, Gladys, Wanita and Wreatha.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Redding of Wood River; and his children, Gerald Redding (Joan) of Alda, Steven Redding of Wood River, Sherry Desel (Bradley) of Wood River and Jeanine Harders of Norfolk. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
