It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Petersen of Wolbach, Nebraska, who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darlene Petersen to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Willis; and her siblings, Eloris Negley, Lorrena Weverka, LeRoy Gydesen, Duane Gydesen and Gerald Gydesen.

She is survived by: her friend Mildred Beck (Ironson); her children, Deborah McDonald (Doug) of Grand Island, Steven Petersen (Peggy) of Wolbach and Karen Jenkins (Paul) of Anchorage; her grandchildren, Janelle McDonald of Grand Island, Jennifer McDonald of St. Paul, Brad McDonald of St. Libory, Kenneth Jenkins of Anchorage and Bryan Jenkins of Anchorage; and her brother Orville Gydesen (Yvonne). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for designation at a later date.
