He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Westerhaus and Anna Westerhaus (Loehing); his wife LuAnna; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Gladys Moore; his brothers, Norris and Donald (Reba Westerhaus); and his siblings-in-law, Maye (Marvin Stotler), Jim Moore, Roy (Twilla Moore) and Don.
He is survived by: his sons, David (LeeAnn) of Pilger, Daniel (Donna) of Wayne, Dale (Amy) of Winside and Dean (Marni) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Shella (Jeff), Jesse (Amy), Karl, Tom, Brandon, Tanner, Mitchell, Dustin, Shelby and Raven; his great grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, Briar, Landon, Xander, Karsten and Kristen; his sister Jerane Dobson; and his sisters-in-law, Annika Moore and Carolyn Schwenk (Hail-Westerhaus).
Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Winside.
