He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy "Earl" Stoakes and Daisy Stoakes (Carter); his stepmother Opal Stoakes (Muhm); his siblings, Howard Stoakes (Mary) and Marion Stoakes Baier (Julius); his siblings-in-law, Hugh Mote (Dora), Dan Mote (Bea), Harry Mote (Marjie), Rev. Jim Mote (Dorothy) and Rosella Robertson (Walter); and also Ron Hajek.
He is survived by: his wife Lura B. Mote; his daughters, Susan Hajek of Silver Creek and Marilyn Neill (Perry) of Gibbon; his granddaughters, Sandi Hajek Elrod of Dallas and Shelly Hajek of Chetumal, Mexico; his great grandchildren, Jesse Michael Hajek (Lindsey) of Clarkson and Kristin Quinn (Graham) of Huston, Texas; and his great great grandchildren, Daniel Hajek, Ally Hajek, Ember and Evan Hajek. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
