He was predeceased by: his parents, Karel Znamenacek and Millie Znamenacek (Penkava); his sister Betty Luers; and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Kerst and Larry Rerucha.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Knuppel (Dale Robert), Dayle Znamenacek and Delorie Kalivoda (Brad); his grandchildren, Kamden McChesney (Anjelica) and Arlington; his son Travis Case; his great grandchildren, Lillian McChesney and Zander McChesney; and his siblings, Arlene Kerst of Omaha, Melvin Znamenacek (Carol) of Loveland, Colorado, Lorraine Rerucha of Loveland, Colorado, Eugene Znamenacek of Loveland, Colorado, Richard Znamenacek (Suzie) of Lincoln, Karel Znamenacek (Linda) of Lincoln and Elaine Wheeler (Marvin). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
