He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolf and Anna Salda; his sister Violet J. Vilda; and his brothers-in-law, Donald R. Vilda and Joseph F. Svancara.

He is survived by: his sister Joyan R. Svancara. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews and 7 great great nieces.
